The ATX All Terrain Razor (introduced in 2012) was in development for over three years. The four official mandates it had to satisfy:
- Utilize new multi-blade technology that had flow through design.
- Eliminate the learning curve for anyone who previously used a conventional razor.
- Be an effective and versatile face, body, and leg shaver.
- Give a faster, easier, and more efficient headshave than any previous HeadBlade.
The ATX utilizes our patented car-like suspension and rubberized finger ring. The blade is suspended in the back by a unique spring that further reduces any chances of nicks or cuts.
FACE & BODY
This new configuration also allows the ATX to be used effectively on the face, body and legs.
Hold blade cartridge between your thumb and index finger and insert adaptor stem into end of cartridge.
Once in place, gently insert opposite stem of adaptor into hole of cartridge.
When cartridge is inserted properly, the contact points between adaptor and cartridge create the pivot.
If you have not shaved in three or four days , you should use clippers before using HeadBlade.
To soften your hairs, shave in or immediately after shampooing in a hot shower. Apply HeadSlick Shave Cream. Lather it up and spread it all over to moisturize, improve razor glide, and protect against irritation.
Before the shaving, check the lubricating strips. If they’re faded, or If the blades feel dull, it’s time for a new one.
Put the HeadBlade ATX on middle finger. Rest the HeadBlade ATX between first and second knuckle. Take long smooth strokes. Keep wheels in contact with scalp.
Some guys like to shave with the grain, some against. In order to go in different directions, turn the HeadBlade ATX around on your finger. Shave each side of your head with that respective hand. After shaving, rinse with cold water.
Use HeadLube after shave treatment.
The HeadBlade ATX comes standard with one (1) HB4 blade and is also compatible with the HB6.
The ATX differs from the MOTO in that that body is rigid (it doesn't pivot laterally) and the finger-ring is smaller. They work in a similar manner and use the same HB4 blade.
